Dr. Dominic Lau has been passionate about helping people smile throughout his career. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry in 2011, he completed a residency training program in New York and returned to Toronto in 2012 to begin his journey in private practice.
With over 10 years of experience in dentistry, Dr. Lau opened Aurora Sunrise Family Dental in 2022. His calm, friendly approach and gentle touch have made him a trusted dentist for patients of all ages throughout York Region. He’s fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, making multilingual care accessible to Aurora’s diverse community — and he always aims to make every visit feel relaxed and personal, like catching up with an old friend who just happens to clean your teeth.
Dr. Lau maintains his professional credentials through the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and stays current with the latest advances in dentistry through continuing education. Outside the dental practice, he is an avid traveler, golf enthusiast, and serious chess player — though he insists he’s more competitive on the board than in the dental chair.
